Set Up 3CX On Your Devices

3CX can be used to manage phone calls on a company-provided device or through personal devices if desired. Use the following steps to set up the device on your company device.

Desktop Installation Instructions

1. Navigate to the 3CX Phone Web client. It can be found in the “CESA 6 Agency Bookmarks” in the bookmarks bar of Google Chrome.

2. Log in using your email or extension number and your password.

Install the Web Client as an app (PWA) - Google Chrome

This PWA allows you to have a pinned instance of 3CX on your taskbar that you do not need to open directly through Google Chrome.

3. Click on the download icon in your browser’s address bar as shown above.

  1. A new dialog will open, click on the “Install” button.
  2. You will be asked if you would like to pin 3CX (PWA) to your taskbar. We suggest clicking on “Yes” for easier access.
  3. The Web Client as a PWA app is now installed.

7. (Optional) Enable the app to launch at startup—type ‘chrome://apps’ into the address bar. Right-click on “3CX” and enable “Launch at Startup” as shown above.



Mobile Application Installation Instructions

1. Install the 3CX application on your phone.

2. Open your web client and click on the QR code in the top right corner.

3. Open your camera on your Android or iPhone device and scan the QR code on your screen.

4. Grant all the necessary permissions in the subsequent screens.

5. Follow the battery optimization instructions for the app to work efficiently.

6. Your extension is configured, and you’re now “Ready for calls”!
