How to use Mosyle's Admin On-Demand
Mosyle's Admin On-Demand is a feature that allows just in time admin access for updates and other features without the need for IT interventions. It will provide temporary admin access that expires after a short period of time, enhancing the security on our MacOS devices while still allowing the flexibility to accomplish end user goals. To use Admin On-Demand:
- Click "Self-Service" on your Dock or launch from the "Applications" folder.
- Once launched, Click "Admin On-demand"
- Click the Request Admin Now button. We currently have the approved period set to 1 minute, which should be sufficient to accomplish most tasks that require entering admin credentials.
- Enter your justification here.
- Once you have typed your justification, click "Continue."
- Read and Accept the terms by clicking Continue.
- You will receive a notification confirming that your user has been upgraded. Click "Got it" to acknowledge.
- Click this close button.
- Check for the notification, click the Date and Time (Clock)
- You can see the notification you should expect to see below.
Should this notification not come through after five minutes, please check your internet connection or create a ticket to allow our team to look into this for you.
