Google provides a convenient scheduling tool that you can access directly within Gmail. To create an appointment:
- Click on the calendar icon within an email.

- Select the option labeled "offer times you are free."

- This will open a panel where you can specify the date, time(s), and duration for your availability to meet. You can select times by clicking and dragging during the timeframe you want to advertise. You can select multiple times, dates, and differing ranges of times.
Note: While the tool displays your existing calendar events, please note that it does not currently show any appointment schedules you may have already set up in your calendar. It will also allow you to advertise appointments during events that you already have scheduled on the calendar, so be sure to on select times you are available for an appointment.

- Select "Next" when you are done choosing your window(s) of availability.
- You now have the option to name the meeting, select the event duration, and/or set a location, or indicate if it will be a virtual meeting room. Currently, Google Meet is the only option available for virtual meetings.

- Once the desired information is added, select "Add to email" to insert your appointment into the email.

Once the other party selects a meeting time by clicking on one of the times it will route them to a page to confirm their name and email. If they want to choose a different time, they can select "cancel" and select a different time from the options you provided.

Once they make a selection, the usual notification process will occur, and you will receive an email confirmation of the appointment as well as creating a block on your calendar for the event.
